Hotel Emma
Hotel Emma is a powerful example of the complete SITE process. A thorough exploration of the story of the characters involved in the founding of the brewery and the unique physical environment of the 120 year-old brewhouse led to creation of the iconic Hotel Emma brand. Named after Emma Koehler, co-founder of the San Antonio Brewing Association and champion of the brewery through her strength and perseverance, the brand came to life through unique nomenclature, signature scent, and material details such as a custom guidebook for San Antonio created in partnership with Wildsam Field Guides and guayabera robes created in partnership with San Antonio’s iconic custom guayabera designer Dos Carolinas.

Échale
Échale, launched in San Antonio in 2011, became a cultural staple in San Antonio over its six year run. The series was created to draw people and energy to the newly redeveloped Pearl neighborhood through a collaboration with renowned music festival Pachanga and an ever changing cast of iconic artists from throughout Texas and Latin America. Partnerships with Red Bull and Corona made the festival a viable and sustainable endeavor and from its inception. Thousands of San Antonians and visitors flocked to the shows to gather and celebrate. Échale was instrumental in establishing Pearl as a gathering place and set the stage for broader activation strategies.

Carriqui
Launched in September of 2022, Carriqui was a project years in the making. The unique concept was derived from deep story work about the iconic building Carriqui calls home. Once a grocery store, a residence, a famous beer hall and various restaurants over the course of its 100+ year life, the structure has been a physical and cultural anchor of the neighborhood for generations. The name Carriqui refers to the Green Jay bird native to Latin America whose unique flight path brings it only as far north as San Antonio. The mascot of the Green Jay is a metaphor for the South Texas cuisine and culture served daily at Carriqui and invites locals and visitors alike, back again to this special neighborhood oasis.

Farmers Market
In its 14-year history at Pearl, the Farmers Market has been a key feature through which the community is invited to engage with the property. The 40+ vendors on both Saturday and Sunday represent producers, farmers, makers and artisans from throughout South Texas and generate regular traffic of 5,000+ visitors per market.

Bottling Department
Since its 2017 launch, Food Hall at Bottling Department has been a central feature of the Pearl neighborhood. Conceived as a showcase for local and unique culinary talent, Food Hall at Bottling Department, named after the historic sites’ original use at the brewery, harkens back to urban marketplaces like Los Angeles’ Grand Central Market and Manhattan’s Chelsea Market. The curatorial approach to rotating local concepts, regular activations, and its accessible and family-friendly format has made it a central attraction of the Pearl property. Fauerso, in her role at Pearl and later Potluck, was accountable for the curation of concepts and the development of the unique Food Hall at Bottling Department brand that brings the offering to life.
